“I started seeing Leanne almost 2 years ago after my best friend passed away unexpectedly. I didn’t have a good relationship with grief at the time and the projects I had already been working on such as depression, self harm, eating issues, and anxiety, had only been amplified. I talked to a friend of mine about how I had been feeling and she suggested I get in contact with Leanne and just see how Jin Shin Jyutsu made me feel.
The first time I went for a session I was mind blown at all of the information Leanne gathered from listening to my pulses. We began working on my projects weekly and it provided such a feeling of relief for me. I was experiencing an overwhelming sense of numbness and fear towards grief and allowing myself to process my emotions, Leanne created a space where it was okay to let go and relax into what ever my body wanted to feel.
Looking back on who I was two years ago and the image I had of myself, my idea of grieving and what it “had to look like” is so different from who I am now. Leanne’s work and the safe space she created for me has been such a grounding experience. When we first started working together I would twitch, shake, and have tremors all day every day from anxiety, I no longer have these tremors after the many flows Leanne has done to help ease my stress.
During many sessions I go into a deep meditative state and she helps me allow my mind to slow down and process what ever I am working through that day. My headspace is entirely different after all of the Jin Shin Jyutsu work Leanne has done for me and showed me how to do for myself and I am deeply grateful for her dedication and genuine care for my mental well-being.”
